Saturday April 6
Did Mercer Island loop with Laura. Windy on the bridge. Really
windy. Lots of out of the saddle sprints up hills.

Wednesday April 3
Morning ride down to Seward Park, around, and back.
Freezing cold, despite a bright sunny day. Didn't adjust
seat. Need to lower handlebars to get more aero tuck.
Longer stem? Maybe necessary.
Did intervals into the wind on the return route. Exhausting.
Did five 30 second sprints. On way home, went straight up the
hills near I-90 bridge instead of cutting through the tunnel.
Felt light-headed, like I was going to throw up.
Moral? Short rides can be good workouts if the intensity is
high.

Sunday March 31
Rode 18 miles, the Mercer Island loop, once around, counter-clockwise.
Average speed of 15.8 mph. Was glad to not cramp after the ride the
previous day.
Got blown away by some tall dude on the bridge. Very sad.
Raised seat back up part way after lowering it the previous day.
This was the first back to back riding day I can recall this year.
Lifted at the gym afterwards. Arms were totally weak, and lack
of food meant no energy for more than a few sets. Ugh.

Saturday March 30
Rode 38 miles with Jesse, Meredith, Jeremy. North Lake Washington
Loop.
Cramped at the top of the big hill in Kirkland and nursed my way home.
Seat too high? Lowered seat and it helped.
Way too heavy. Got blown away on the hill by everyone else. Need
to drop like 8 pounds. Chubby tubby.
Average speed of 14.9mph.
