A grove of trees that had been decimated by beavers. In the autumn, the colors in Tierra
del Fuego national park are vivid and stacked in layers. The ground is yellow
with the dried grass. Then there is the white of exposed bark, and higher
up the green or red leaves, depending on the type of tree. At the base of
the mountains is a layer of red. Up higher, a stratum of green. Even
higher, either white or granite rock. And up above, baby blue skies,
