Sunset outside my hotel in Puerto Natales, situated at the water's edge. I had just arrived after driving all day with my guide, Julio, and wanted to plop down on my hotel bed, exhausted. But when I looked out the window and saw the sunset, I summoned the willpower to quickly unpack my camera equipment and rush out to the shore. In the few minutes it took me to set up my tripod, select a lens and filters, and frame the picture, the sun settled down behind the mountains so I could only capture the its halo.
