Aspiring Pro Cyclists! Someone from the Travel Channel contacted me. They are looking for someone who aspires to be a professional cyclist for an episode of a television show where they give people the chance to experience their dream job for a few days. If you think you can handle 3 days of pro cycling training and would like to show your stuff on TV, pull together a 2-minute audition video discussing what you do for a living now and why you're so passionate about being a pro cyclist (preferred formats for your audition video being DVD, VHS, or miniDV). Drop me a line (use the Contact Me link off of my homepage) and I'll let you know where to send your tape. The deadline for receipt of the tapes is Monday, Feb. 27, 2006, so you'll have to sprint.

As for the rest of this page, I don't live in Seattle anymore, so some links here may bestale. I'm not updating this page anymore, but some of the content may still be useful so I've left it up.

Cool Stuff

Ciclosport bike computers

I've go through a different cycling computer every year, it seems, and it's not because I'm some sponsored bike pro. It's because they're mostly pieces of junk. We can put men on the moon and run cars on hydrogen fuel cells and yet we can't build a decent bike computer?

This is the latest one I'm trying, and so far it's been a keeper. Leave it to the Germans to build some sweet circuitry; remember, this is the country that churns out BMWs. They're not cheap, but perhaps this one will last more than one season before losing its mind.

Tour de France Soundtracks by Kraftwerk

Okay, this really has nothing to do with cycling. But Kraftwerk is cool, and they're still alive?! Look, there are cyclists on the cover.

Seattle Rides--Maps/Cue Sheets

The old pdfs of the Seattle bike ride cue sheets have been moved. Jim Eanes of the Seattle Bicycle Touring Club sent me this link to updated cue sheets. I've also archived these old cue sheets I used back when I lived in Seattle:
